Staff Database Administrator

To define the strategy and technical direction for database reliability and performance, the full-time remote Staff Database Administrator will manage production databases in AWS, optimize the Snowflake data warehouse, and lead cross-team initiatives in data security and governance. Key responsibilities Own the strategy and technical direction for production databases, including PostgreSQL, hosted in AWS Define and drive high-availability and disaster recovery programs, ensuring data integrity and accessibility Mentor DBAs and senior engineers, developing their technical judgment and influencing hiring decisions Required qualifications 10+ years of experience administering production database environments 5+ years of experience managing databases in AWS Deep expertise in PostgreSQL administration and optimization Hands-on experience with Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouses Strong knowledge of Linux systems administration and scripting/automation skills
