Clinical Account Executive - Oncology - Rochester, NY

AbbVie seeks a Clinical Account Executive to build strategic relationships with oncology departments and practices across Rochester, Buffalo, Syracuse, and surrounding areas. The role focuses on expanding market share through education on product benefits and risks, developing business opportunities, and achieving sales quotas for assigned oncology products.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with oncologists, hematologists, and healthcare professionals
- Deliver on-label technical presentations highlighting product benefits and risks to achieve sales targets
- Build account-specific business and tactical plans in collaboration with internal teams and co-promotion partners
- Serve as primary AbbVie contact coordinating customer support and resolving account issues
- Monitor market and clinical developments in oncology; remain current on competitive and payer landscape
Requirements
- Business acumen and analytical skills to develop data-driven account strategies
- Strong communication and presentation abilities for technical scientific discussions
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing complex projects without direct authority
- Valid driver's license and ability to pass drug screening and background checks
- Persistence and track record succeeding in challenging sales environments
- Oncology sales experience or clinical background preferred
- Bachelor's degree preferred; account management or healthcare industry experience valued
