Electrical Engineer III

Calpine Corporation seeks an Electrical Engineer III to support the reliability, safety, and efficiency of its natural gas-fired and geothermal power plants. In this role, you will design, analyze, and optimize plant electrical systems, including high- and medium-voltage equipment, protection schemes, and controls. You will perform power systems studies, troubleshoot complex issues, and lead improvements that enhance grid reliability and support cleaner energy goals. Working closely with operations, maintenance, and project teams, you’ll support upgrades, commissioning, and compliance with NERC, NEC, IEEE, and company safety standards.
