Job Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations and comprehensive evaluations of medical histories
• Assist with the evaluation and diagnosis of surgical conditions by interpreting imaging studies and laboratory results
• Collaborate intimately with surgeons to develop and implement tailored surgical treatment plans for each patient
• Provide critical intraoperative support, which encompasses preparing operating rooms, ensuring patient positioning, and passing surgical instruments during procedures
• Deliver outstanding pre- and post-operative care, which includes medication administration, wound care, discharge planning, and patient education

Education Requirements

• Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Completion of clinical rotations with an emphasis on surgical procedures is highly preferred

Certifications Required

• Current and unrestricted PA-C certification
• Certification in BLS and ACLS is required
• State licensure (or eligibility) as a Physician Assistant

Skill Requirements

• Strong understanding of surgical protocols and sterile techniques
• Demonstrated ability to analyze diagnostic tests and contribute to complex clinical decision-making
