From iconic stadiums and arenas, next-gen transportation hubs and sustainable healthcare and academic buildings, AECOM Hunt’s expertise, leadership and dedication are unparalleled.Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Finishes/Rough Superintendent to oversee the execution of interior and exterior finishes for a high-profile airport project in Chicago. This role is critical to maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and schedule adherence in a fast-paced, operationally sensitive environment.As a Finishes/Rough Superintendent, you will lead the coordination and installation of architectural finishes, drywall, ceilings, flooring, painting, millwork, and other related scopes, ensuring seamless integration with other trades and systems. Your leadership will play a vital role in delivering a world-class facility that enhances the passenger experience.Key ResponsibilitiesLead day-to-day field supervision finish contractors, ensuring safe, compliant, and high-quality installations.Coordinate phasing and work sequencing in active airport facilities, minimizing operational impacts while maintaining schedule discipline.Drive compliance with standards, applicable building/fire codes, and contract requirements; support inspections and testing with AHJ, airport, and stakeholders.Manage field operations including submittal conformance, redlines/as-builts, punch lists, and system turnover documentation.Support testing, installation and turnover to achieve system acceptance.Maintain field records, daily reports, and contribute to cost and change documentation. Responsible for the organization and direction of construction and related activities.Act as a team liaison for day to day activities,Coordinate with client’s resident representatives on jobsite activities.QualificationsMinimum Requirements:BS Engineering/Construction Management and 6 years of demonstrated construction experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.Valid Driver's LicensePreferred Requirements:Airport construction experience.Strong knowledge/experience with finishes/rough construction.Experience with Chicago Building Codes.Experience in trade coordination.Experience with large construction projects (100MM+) phasing, and complex shutdowns/cutovers.Ability to manage site operations, resolve issues and report to management.OSHA certification.Physical Demands:The following physical demands represent those typically required of individuals working in construction field roles, with or without accommodation. Construction field positions require physical stamina and mobility, including the ability to climb ladders and stairs, use personnel hoists, and move through various terrain and active construction zones. Vision requirements include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Team members must be capable of using their hands to handle tools and materials, and perform activities such as sitting, standing, walking, speaking, hearing, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. Lifting and carrying materials weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted may be necessary on an occasional basis.Work Environment:Individuals in construction field roles work primarily on active job sites where exposure to environmental and job-related hazards is common, with or without accommodation. These environments may include proximity to heavy machinery, elevated work areas, airborne particles, varying weather conditions, and potential electrical risks. Noise levels may vary from moderate to high depending on the phase of construction. Employees may be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and must remain alert to ensure safety.
