CNC Machinist II – 1st Shift
Pay : $25.00–$35.00 per hour, based on experience
Location : Bristol, Rhode Island
Schedule : Full-Time, First Shift
Employment Type : Permanent, Direct Hire
Openings : 4
We are hiring CNC Machinists for permanent first-shift positions with an established precision manufacturer in Bristol, Rhode Island. This opportunity is best suited for experienced machinists who can set up and operate CNC equipment, interpret engineering drawings and consistently produce components that meet dimensional and quality requirements.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC machining equipment
- Review blueprints, engineering drawings and work instructions
- Select and install appropriate tooling and fixtures
- Enter or adjust machine offsets as required
- Perform tool changes and make routine machining adjustments
- Monitor machining operations to maintain quality and productivity
- Inspect finished components using precision measuring instruments
- Verify dimensions and tolerances against drawing requirements
- Identify and troubleshoot machining or quality issues
- Document inspection and production results accurately
- Maintain equipment and a clean, organized work area
- Follow established safety, quality and manufacturing procedures
- Work collaboratively with production, engineering and quality personnel
Qualifications
- Previous CNC machining experience in a precision manufacturing environment
- Experience setting up and operating CNC mills, lathes or comparable machining equipment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
- Knowledge of machining tolerances and basic GD&T concepts
- Experience using micrometers, calipers, gauges and other precision measuring instruments
- Ability to perform machine offsets, tool changes and basic process adjustments
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently while maintaining production and quality standards
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Dependable attendance and ability to work a full first-shift schedule
