Certified Athletic Trainer

Athletic Trainer – Travel Academy Basketball FIT Muscle & Joint Clinic Position Type: Full-Time FIT Muscle & Joint Clinic is seeking a motivated, passionate, and team-oriented Athletic Trainer to provide comprehensive sports medicine services for high level basketball athletes. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with elite athletes while being part of a progressive sports medicine team dedicated to keeping athletes healthy, performing at their best, and returning safely to competition. The Athletic Trainer will be responsible for injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, and emergency care throughout the team's 9 month schedule. The Athletic Trainer will assist with additional coverage during off season. Position Responsibilities Coverage Provide athletic training coverage throughout the week. Provide on-site medical coverage for all scheduled games and tournaments. Travel with the team for out-of-town competitions as required. Evaluate, treat, and manage athletic injuries during practices and competitions. Make return-to-play recommendations in collaboration with physicians and coaching staff. Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, coaches, physicians, and clinic staff regarding injuries and rehabilitation plans. Maintain accurate injury documentation and treatment records. Training Room Responsibilities Provide athletic training services during scheduled training hours. Assist with injury evaluations, rehabilitation programs, therapeutic exercise, and recovery services. Collaborate with physical therapists, chiropractors, physicians, and other healthcare providers to deliver comprehensive patient care. Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Athletic Training. BOC Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC). Eligible for state licensure. (KS) Current CPR/AED certification. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to travel for tournaments and team events. Strong organizational and documentation skills. Passion for working with high-level athletes in a collaborative sports medicine environment.
