Construction Laborer- 6 Week Project- Weekly Pay
Location: Baltimore, Maryland
Pay: $25-$35/hour
Hours: 6 days/week, 10 hour days, Monday-Saturday
We are seeking skilled construction laborers to join our team at a coal-fired utility plant in Baltimore, MD for a temporary 6 week project . This position is responsible for supporting maintenance and construction activities throughout the facility, including material handling, equipment staging, site cleanup, and assisting skilled trades personnel. Candidates must be comfortable working at heights and within confined spaces.
Responsibilities:

• Assist with construction, maintenance, and outage-related activities throughout the plant.
• Perform general labor duties including material handling, lifting, carrying, and transporting tools and equipment.
• Support skilled trades personnel during maintenance, repair, and installation projects.
• Assist with demolition, cleanup, and removal of debris from work areas.
• Load, unload, stage, and organize materials, tools, and supplies.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with plant safety requirements.
• Utilize hand and power tools safely and effectively.

Essential Skills:

• OSHA 10 certification and confined space training preferred.
• Ability to climb and traverse stairs, ladders, scaffolding, and elevated work areas.
• Comfortable working at heights and in confined, poorly lit, or dusty environments.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, carrying, bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
• Ability to understand and follow work instructions in English.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Previous construction laborer, industrial laborer, maintenance helper, or utility labor experience preferred.
• Experience working in industrial plants, power generation facilities, refineries, or manufacturing environments is a plus.
• Experience using respiratory protection and other personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and general construction equipment.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to site safety regulations.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Work Environment:
You will work in a demanding environment requiring hard hats, safety glasses with side shields, protective footwear, high-visibility clothing, and hearing protection. Respiratory protection is essential when engineering controls cannot adequately manage dust, fumes, or other airborne contaminants. Fall protection gear such as harnesses, lanyards, and lifelines are mandatory when exposed to fall hazards.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
