Vulcanizing Technician

We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-conscious professional to join our manufacturing team as an O-ring Vulcanizing Technician . In this role, you will support the production of high-quality rubber components by operating vulcanizing equipment, preparing materials, monitoring process conditions, and ensuring finished parts meet exact specifications. The ideal candidate is reliable, quality-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor vulcanizing machinery used in the production of O-rings and related rubber components.
• Prepare raw materials, molds, tooling, and equipment according to production requirements.
• Follow established procedures to ensure proper temperature, pressure, and curing times during the vulcanizing process.
• Inspect finished products for defects, dimensional accuracy, and overall quality.
• Record production data, inspection results, and equipment settings accurately.
• Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and basic troubleshooting on equipment.
• Work closely with supervisors and quality teams to resolve production issues and improve process consistency.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with company policies and safety standards.
• Handle materials and finished products with care to reduce waste and prevent damage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in manufacturing, rubber processing, molding, or vulcanizing operations is an asset.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with production equipment.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions, standard operating procedures, and quality specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing consistent, high-quality work.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks in a production setting.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Willingness to follow safety guidelines and use personal protective equipment as required.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with rubber compounding, molding, or curing processes.
• Knowledge of inspection tools such as calipers, gauges, or micrometers.
• Ability to identify product defects and make minor process adjustments.
• Experience maintaining production logs or quality records.
