Director of Hospital Member Education and Events

The Kentucky Hospital Association (KHA) is seeking an experienced, organized, and collaborative professional to serve as our Director of Hospital Member Education and Events . This leadership role is responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of educational programs and events that support Kentucky's hospitals and health systems.

The ideal candidate is a skilled project manager and relationship builder who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys creating meaningful educational experiences, and can successfully manage multiple programs and priorities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of educational programs and events, including conferences, conventions, symposiums, webinars, and other member engagement activities.
• Oversee event logistics, including venue selection, speaker coordination, registration, audiovisual needs, and virtual meeting platforms.
• Collaborate with internal teams, hospital members, and external partners to deliver relevant, high-quality educational programming.
• Coordinate event communications, promotional materials, and member outreach in partnership with internal teams.
• Develop and manage program and event budgets, monitor expenses, and oversee sponsorship activities.
• Evaluate program effectiveness through participation data and attendee feedback to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Provide leadership, supervision, and professional development support to assigned staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in adult education, organizational development, communications, project management, or a related field.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in adult education and/or educational event planning. Experience in healthcare education and event planning preferred.
• Strong project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Demonstrated experience managing budgets and coordinating complex programs or events.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and virtual meeting platforms, including Microsoft Teams and Zoom.
• Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel regularly, including occasional overnight stays.

This position involves a combination of office-based responsibilities, event coordination, and travel to educational programs and events. Telework may be available with prior approval.
