Shift Differentials: nights $5.00, weekends $3.00 Preceptor Differential Advances for higher education, certifications and various lead roles Career Ladder Program (eligible therapists may receive differential pay based on advanced certifications such as RPFT, CPFT, Perinatal Pediatric, ACCS, RPSGT, etc.) Responsibilities Assist physicians with bronchoscopy procedures under departmental policy including monitoring and assessment of level of consciousness, cardiovascular, and pulmonary systems; delivery of IV conscious sedation agents (opioids, benzodiazepines, sedative-hypnotics) and reversal agents. Initiate ventilator protocols and coordinate ventilator management. Perform advanced airway care including tracheotomy changes, extubation, and intubation. Initiate and monitor high-frequency ventilators. In NICU, perform surfactant delivery and intubation; attend high-risk deliveries. Optional procedures: transport team, intubation, backup charge therapist. Initiate and monitor nitric oxide delivery. Perform department-specific functions as detailed within the summary of department-specific duties. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy Registered Respiratory Therapist (NBRC) Respiratory Care Practitioner – NMBLS ACLS and/or PALS Six months to one-year of critical care experience preferred.
