This remote position empowers our Licensed Mental Health Therapists to work from home while actively engaging with a supportive team dedicated to integrated care. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, taking into account the interplay between mental health and existing medical conditions.
- Develop and implement tailored integrated treatment plans that simultaneously address psychiatric and medical issues.
- Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices to promote patient growth and resilience.
- Engage in collaborative discussions with medical providers, ensuring coordinated care and optimal therapeutic outcomes.
- Provide immediate crisis intervention and emotional support during mental health emergencies to maintain patient safety and stability.
- Educate patients about the significant links between mental health and physical health, empowering them to better manage their conditions.
- Maintain accurate electronic records and documentation in compliance with legal standards and ethical guidelines.
- Participate actively in team meetings, case conferences, and interdisciplinary care planning sessions.
- Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in mental healthcare and integrated care practices.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Your work will primarily focus on individuals experiencing mental health challenges alongside medical issues. Patients may include those with chronic illnesses, emotional disorders, and complex needs that require a multifaceted approach to treatment. The diverse demographics of Pasco, WA, will further enrich your experience, allowing you to apply cultural competency in your therapeutic practices.
Qualifications
- A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
- Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Psychologist, or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Washington state.
- Demonstrated understanding of addressing mental health needs for individuals with co-occurring medical conditions.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to foster therapeutic relationships with patients and collaborate with healthcare colleagues.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems and the ability to navigate computer applications related to patient care.
- Capacity to maintain professional boundaries and adhere to ethical standards while ensuring confidentiality.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working within integrative healthcare settings or outpatient mental health facilities.
- Skills in providing therapy to diverse populations and adapting treatment modalities to fit patient needs.
- A background in crisis intervention techniques and best practices in mental health emergencies.
Compensation and Benefits
