Registered Nurse (RN) - Oncology

Location and Shift: Virginia Beach, VA – Third (Nights) – Full Time (36 hrs per week). Overview Sentara Health is hiring a Registered Nurse for the 2S Oncology team at Virginia Beach General Hospital. Sign‑on bonuses: $20,000 for experienced nurses and $7,500 for new graduates. Job Summary The RN is responsible for providing competent nursing care in accordance with the nursing process and standards of practice. Responsibilities include assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care, teaching, health promotion, and evaluation. The RN must also uphold professional performance standards such as ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence‑based practice, research, quality improvement, resource utilization, and environmental health. Clinical knowledge and skills are required to meet standards in specific areas of oncology care. Qualifications Education: ADN required; BSN or higher preferred. Certification: Virginia or compact multistate RN license in good standing. BLS required within 90 days of hire. Experience: Experienced RN’s and new graduates welcome.
