The Engineering Project Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring customer orders move

efficiently through engineering, procurement, and manufacturing. This position translates

sales orders into actionable engineering tasks, tracks deliverables, maintains full order

visibility, and provides timely, accurate updates to internal teams and customers.

• Organizer: able to sort and log high volume of engineering and sales documentation

• Scheduler: able to track high volume of customer order timelines, deliverables, markups, change orders, etc. 

• Coordinator: able to communicate between departments succinctly and efficiently (high volume of emails)

• Developer: able to create and implement new project management systems (SharePoint, Bluebeam, Autodesk Vault, Excel, PowerBI, etc.)

• Worker: generally, we are looking for someone hungry and capable to work in the capacities mentioned above

• Manages orders from entry to delivery.
• Acts as primary contact in understanding and responding to manufacturing and order issues.
• Proactively anticipates problems, and effectively resolves them before they become major issues.
• Supports inventory management by monitoring and reporting inventory status and initiating recommendations and actions to adjust or replenish inventory levels.
• Understands all steps of the order fulfillment process utilizing network systems, word processing and spreadsheet applications.
• Develops relationships with other departments to assure accurate order pricing and product on all customer orders
• Prepares clear, concise reports, documentation, and routine customer correspondence.
• Promptly address any customer complaint for damages, shortages and incorrect quantity or item and see them through to resolution
• Support engineering, procurement and manufacturing with other tasks as required
• Strong mathematical skills
• High school diploma or equivalent, college degree preferred
• Prior industry customer service experience preferred
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple priorities
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Proficiency using technology, including MS Office and ERP/MRP systems.

▪ Maintain dashboards, trackers, and engineering queues.

▪ Support ERP/MRP updates related to engineering deliverables.

▪ Organize order folders, spreadsheets, SharePoint sites, and documentation

repositories.

▪ Assist with order closeout and archiving engineering deliverables.

▪ Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related

field.

▪ 2–5 years of experience in order management, project coordination, or

manufacturing operations.

▪ Strong understanding of engineering documentation, BOMs, drawings, and change

processes.

▪ Experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Epicor, etc.).

▪ Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Teams, Outlook, and order-tracking tools.

▪ Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills.

▪ Ability to manage high order volume with accuracy and urgency.

▪ Experience in engineered-to-order (ETO), configure-to-order (CTO), or

manufacturing environments.

▪ Familiarity with AutoCAD or engineering design workflows.

▪ Experience with engineering change management (ECN/ECO/CCF).

▪ Experience working with Document Control or EDMS systems.
