Overview Alliance Building Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Foreman to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong supervisory skills and a thorough understanding of maintenance operations within a unionized environment. This role requires excellent communication, organizational, and leadership abilities to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our maintenance staff. Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of maintenance staff. Manage and prioritize work orders, ensuring timely completion. Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. Prepare and submit detailed reports on maintenance activities and staff performance. Schedule and oversee routine maintenance and repair work. Implement and enforce progressive discipline procedures in accordance with union guidelines. Train and mentor new and existing maintenance staff. Communicate effectively with team members, management, and clients via email and other channels. Ensure all maintenance activities are documented accurately and promptly. Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and address any maintenance-related issues. Job Requirements Proven experience as a Foreman or similar supervisory role in a maintenance environment. Strong knowledge of maintenance procedures, equipment, and safety regulations. Excellent organizational and leadership skills. Proficiency in using email, preparing reports, and managing work orders. Ability to conduct thorough inspections and identify potential issues. Experience with scheduling and coordinating maintenance activities. Familiarity with progressive discipline procedures within a unionized workforce. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team. Additional technical training or certifications are a plus.
