Job Summary Provide dental services to prisoners at assigned correctional facilities including diagnosis, operative and restorative treatments, surgical procedures such as extractions, endodontic care, and prosthetic treatment. Document and record patient treatment information in accordance with the Northern Facilities Dental Program guidelines, maintain clinic operations at MDOC Northern Facilities Dental Program standards, and provide patient care in accordance with established standards of care. Qualifications Doctorate of Dental Surgery or Doctorate of Medical Dentistry degree. Michigan dentist license. No specific type or amount of experience is required; equivalent combinations of education and experience will be evaluated on an individual basis. Legal and Ethical Requirements Must not have a felony conviction or pending felony charges; the Department of Corrections may screen out applicants with such convictions. Applicants with misdemeanor or felony convictions are ineligible until satisfactory completion of any sentence imposed, including parole or probation.
