Responsibilities: Lead and support café staff during daily shifts to ensure smooth, efficient operations Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, espresso beverages, and café menu items Provide outstanding customer service and foster a warm, welcoming atmosphere Open and/or close the café, including cash handling, drawer reconciliation, and securing the premises Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management Train and mentor team members on café standards, recipes, and customer service best practices Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards throughout the café and prep areas Assist in coordinating daily workflow and delegating tasks to team members Requirements: 1+ years of experience in a café, coffee shop, or food service environment Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred Strong barista skills and knowledge of espresso preparation and coffee drinks Excellent communication and team-building skills Reliable, punctual, and able to thrive in a high-energy, fast-paced setting Food Handler's Card or ServSafe certification (or willingness to obtain) Positive, customer-first attitude with a passion for hospitality About Us: Tin Roof Bakery & Cafe is a beloved local staple in Chico, CA, known for scratch-made baked goods, expertly crafted coffee, and a warm community atmosphere that keeps guests coming back.
