The Plant Manager leads production, maintenance, quality, safety, and warehouse teams to deliver high-quality products on time and within budget.Location: On-Site, West SacramentoESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS:Operations & ProductionLead all plant operations including production, maintenance, quality, sanitation, and logisticsEnsure production schedules are met while maintaining efficiency, yield, and throughput targetsDrive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, OEE improvement)Manage capital projects, equipment upgrades, and line installationsQuality, Food Safety & ComplianceEnsure compliance with FDA, OSHA, EPA, and local regulationsMaintain food safety and quality systems (QMS, HACCP, SQF, BRC, GMPs)Lead audits and corrective action programsChampion a culture of quality and product integritySafety & EnvironmentalFoster a strong safety culture with zero-incident mindsetEnsure compliance with all safety programs and environmental regulationsLead safety training, investigations, and corrective actionsPeople LeadershipDirectly manage department managers and supervisorsRecruit, develop, and retain high-performing teamsSet performance goals, conduct reviews, and provide coachingPromote accountability, teamwork, and employee engagementFinancial & Performance ManagementOwn plant budget, labor costs, and operating expensesTrack and improve KPIs (OEE, yield, downtime, scrap, labor efficiency)Identify cost-reduction and productivity opportunitiesCollaborate with supply chain on inventory and raw material planningCross-Functional CollaborationPartner with R&D, Supply Chain, Sales, and Corporate teamsSupport new product launches and line trialsCommunicate plant performance and improvement plans to leadershipEQUIPMENT/ COMPUTER SKILLS:Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Window, Excel, Outlook) with the ability to learn new applications as required.EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operation Management, Food Science, or related filedManufacturing experience strongly preferredBeverage, food, or consumer packaged goods experience requiredThe ability to build and lead the regulatory and quality functions in a fast paced, high growth, entrepreneurial environment.Thorough understanding of general safety requirementsStrong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionSelf-starter with strong communication and relationship-building skillsWORKING CONDITIONS: With or without reasonable accommodation, requires the physical and mental capacity to perform effectively all essential functions.
