Clinical Staff - Rehabilitation TherapyCome join our dynamic therapy, community fitness and sports medicine family! This position is located at The Orthopaedic & Spine Hospital (TOSH) on the UAMS Campus in Little Rock. The position will be integral in treating post-operative joint and spine patients in both inpatient and PACU settings. We value mentorships, continuing education, and a multidisciplinary approach to care.The inpatient physical therapist provides an individualized evaluation, during which the client, family/caregiver, and physical therapist determine the patient's goals, customize interventions to optimize the person's ability to perform functional activities, and continuously assess progress towards goals to ensure goals are being met and/or to modify the intervention plan based on the patient's needs and skills. Functional outcomes data is completed through collection of best practice data via patient questionnaires, performance measures, and documented treatment interventions.QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy if graduated prior to 2002 OR Master's degree in Physical Therapy if graduated prior to 2016 OR Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy.Licensed as a Physical Therapist by the Arkansas State Board of Physical Therapy or eligible for licensure.Preferred Qualifications:Master's degree OR Doctorate in Physical Therapy PLUS (2) two years of experience in Physical Therapy.Inpatient therapy experience with emphasis on orthopedic conditionsOCSResponsibilitiesPerforms comprehensive examination of patients using appropriate tests/measures, completes the evaluation, and formulates an individualized plan of care.Provides evidence based quality patient treatments and monitors patient for physiological status during sessions.Provides individualized patient education.Documents evaluations, treatment sessions, and education sessions and submits accurate charges according to regulatory policies.Provides education regarding physical therapy discipline.Serves as a clinical instructor/mentor and provides education to other disciplines within UAMS and/or the community.Participates in multidisciplinary and department communication, including patient care discussions and/or meetings and unit/department/hospital meetings.Performs other duties as assigned.Salary Informationcommensurate with education and experienceRequired Documents to ApplyLicense or Certificate (see special instructions for submission instructions), List of three Professional References (name, email, business title), ResumeSpecial Instructions to ApplicantsRecruitment Contact Information:Please contact View email address on click.appcast.io for any recruiting related questions.All application materials must be uploaded to the University of Arkansas System Career Site do not send to listed recruitment contact.Pre-employment Screening RequirementsAnnual TB Screening, Criminal Background Check, Substance Abuse TestingThis position is subject to pre-employment screening (criminal background, drug testing, and/or education verification).
