Commercial Window Fabricator – Build High-Performance Commercial Glazing and Aluminum Systems
Job Overview- Company: SG Metal & Glass.
- Salary/Pay Rate: $18 to $25 per hour.
- Location: Bridgeview, IL (On-site).
- Job/Employment Type: Full Time.
- Schedule: Monday - Friday (6:00 AM start).
- Project Scope: Glazing / Commercial Windows / Glass
- Mandatory Licenses & Certifications: None Required.
You will play a hands-on role in our 20,000 sq. ft. fabrication facility, directly assembling the architectural systems that define the Chicago skyline. This position offers you a stable, long-term career path with a 60-year industry leader where you will master the art of glazing fabrication and glass system assembly.
How You Will Make an Impact- Operate specialized aluminum saws and fabrication machinery to cut materials with high precision.
- Utilize hand tools, drills, and impacts to prepare and assemble complex aluminum window frames.
- Assist in the custom fabrication of break metal components according to technical shop drawings.
- Interpret tape measures and architectural plans to ensure all components meet exact project specifications.
- Manage logistics by loading outgoing project trucks and safely unloading incoming material deliveries.
- Maintain a safe and organized shop environment while meeting daily production and assembly goals.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a construction, fabrication, or warehouse environment.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Reliable transportation to and from the shop. Valid Driver’s License.
- Proven ability to read a tape measure accurately and use basic power tools safely.
- Physical capability to lift over 50 pounds and work on your feet for 8-hour shifts.
- Prior experience with aluminum systems, architectural metals, or commercial glazing.
- Possession of an OSHA 10 Safety Certification.
- Experience working within a fast-paced, team-oriented production setting.
