Apply practical skill and knowledge in trades such as painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, HVAC, and electrical work. Perform duties including replacing batteries, preparing equipment and structures for painting, cutting grass, trimming, spraying herbicides, testing fire alarm systems and emergency lighting, and brazing ground screen and radial wires. Assist tradesmen with electrical and HVAC work. Perform all other related duties as assigned and required. No relocation is provided for this position. Qualifications High school diploma (or equivalent, e.g., G.E.D.) or vocational/technical education in a related discipline. Minimum 2 years of relevant experience. Minimum 3 years of practical experience assisting in maintenance trades of electrical, HVAC, and buildings & ground maintenance. Within twelve months of hire, qualify as a Virginia Certified Pesticide Applicator (Registered Technician) and EPA certified to handle refrigerants under CAA Section 608 (Type I & II). Clean motor vehicle driving record to obtain authorization to drive company vehicles. Eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government‑issued DoD Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship required. Ability to comprehend and carry out instructions with little supervision. Preferred Qualifications Current Registered State Pesticide Applicator. Previous or current security clearance.
