Licenses/Certifications: Valid Physical Therapy license

Experience: Prior outpatient, acute care, or post-acute care experience preferred

What You'll Do

• Evaluate patients to determine needs, strengths, and rehabilitation potential
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessments
• Document patient progress accurately in medical records
• Supervise and delegate tasks to PTAs and support staff, ensuring quality care
• Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Educate patients and families on treatment, injury prevention, and self-care
• Promote a safe environment and adhere to hospital policies and procedures
• Support patient-centered care across all age groups, from birth to geriatrics
• Participate in mentoring or teaching students when requested

What You Need

Required:

• Valid Michigan Physical Therapy license
• Ability to work independently and in team settings
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 20 lbs frequently and up to 100 lbs occasionally

Preferred:

• Experience in acute care, outpatient, or post-acute settings
• Knowledge of modern therapy modalities and documentation systems
