Travel RN - ICUAmerican TravelerBeaufort, South Carolina, United StatesPosition ID: P-730076Position status: OpenAssignment type: travelShift: NightsLength (weeks): 13Openings: 1$1,839.26/week (estimated advertised weekly pay)DescriptionAmerican Traveler is hiring an RN for a Stepdown/PCU position requiring 2 years of PCU/ICU experience and frequent floating to ICU and MedSurg units.DetailsStepdown/PCU unit that frequently floats to ICU and MedSurg units21-bed unitNight shift, 3x12 hours, 19:00-07:00Patient ratios: Stepdown 1:4-5, ICU 1:2, MedSurg 1:5-6Cares for cardiac, vascular, neuro, and renal patient populations including NSTEMI, post cardiac cath with intervention, CVA, and CIWA/substance withdrawal patientsManages non-titrating drips including Amiodarone, NTG, Cardizem, Lopressor, and CardeneCares for vascular surgery patients (fem-pop, CEA)Manages peritoneal dialysis and hemodialysis patients (HD performed in Dialysis Dept)Provides respiratory care including stable BiPAP, heated high flow <80%, home ventilators (Trilogy), and nebulizer treatmentsPerforms wound careUses Meditech EMREvery other weekend (EOW) requiredWeekly orientation held every WednesdayRequirementsActive SC or Compact RN license requiredBLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications requiredMinimum 2 years of PCU/stepdown/ICU experience requiredICU experience required due to floating expectationsCommunity hospital experience preferredMeditech charting experience preferredSkilled in central line, peripheral line, and PICC line care/managementSkilled in blood product administration and IV therapy/phlebotomySkilled in cardiac drip and vasoactive drip titrationSkilled in dysrhythmia interpretation and managementSkilled in BiPAP/CPAP and tracheostomy care/managementSkilled in wound care/wound vacAdditional InformationMust reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligibleFrequent floating required across Stepdown, ICU, and MedSurg units, in accordance with facility floating policies and clinical experienceRoyal blue and white scrubs requiredExpected to work some holidays and weekends in rotation with staffMinimal to no RTO permitted, especially during the first weeks of assignmentPrevious employees must have been gone at least 1 year and in good standing at time of departure to be consideredFirst-time travelers may be consideredHours per week: 36Hours per shift: 12
