LVN/RN Charge Nurse FT Nights ** $4,000 SIGN ON BONUS **

Job Purpose To provide nursing care to residents as prescribed by the physician and in accordance with standards of nursing practices and regulations. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities Nursing Care: Prepare and review medical records and nurse’s notes, assess residents for physical and emotional status, monitor activities, evaluate nursing care, provide care per physician orders and policies, coordinate admissions, transfers, discharges, transcribe orders, communicate with residents, families, interdisciplinary team, and management. Drug Administration and Documentation: Prepare and administer medications per physician orders, sign and date all charting and record keeping per policies. Direct Patient Care: Lead and monitor licensed and other professionals, schedule assignments, set priorities, assist and coach, provide feedback, serve as team leader. Resident Rights: Understand, comply with, and promote all rules regarding residents’ rights. Care Plans: Assist and participate in developing and implementing written care plans addressing individual residents’ needs. Staff Development: Participate in in-service training, assist in orientation programs and job skills training, maintain professional competence. Safety and Sanitation: Monitor environment and nursing practices for safety, fire, disaster, infection control compliance; ensure cleanliness and safety of work and treatment areas. Other Duties: Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Registered Nurse (RN) licensed in good standing; experience as Charge Nurse or supervisory experience preferred. CPR Certified. Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to convey complex information related to long‑term care rules and regulations. Ability to complete required continuing education hours. Ability to build and maintain relationships, coordinate plans, distribute information, and develop mutual knowledge base for effective implementation of state and federal rules. Positive, favorable interactions with residents, families, and government regulators. Must maintain regular attendance.
