AWS Cloud Architect

AWS Cloud Architect Apex is looking for an AWS Cloud Architect for a large fortune 500 company. In this role, you will: Lead and coordinate the domain technical and business discussions relative to future architecture direction across the product portfolio or product line. Analyze, design and develop a roadmap and implementation plan based upon a current vs. future state in a cohesive architecture viewpoint. Review and/or analyze and develop architectural requirements at domain level within product portfolio or team. Participate in the business-wide Infrastructure architecture and domain governance model. Contribute to the development of software, data, and technology. Contribute to the designs and deployment of infrastructure solutions meeting standardization, consolidation, Total Cost of Ownership, security, regulatory compliance and application system qualities. Lead the research and evaluation of emerging technology, industry and market trends to assist in project development and/or operational support actives. Develop, motivate and direct staff to create a team environment. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from accredited university or college with minimum of six years of professional experience OR Associates degree with minimum of nine years of professional experience OR High School Diploma with minimum of eleven years of professional experience Minimum five years of professional experience in Architecture, Cyber Security, and Cloud Note: Military experience is equivalent to professional experience Desired Characteristics: Strong interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on the ability to effectively influence others Strategic thinker/problem solver Extensive experience working on AWS workloads in production environment Strong understanding of Microservice architecture, Containerization (Kubernetes, Docker, AKS/EKS) and experience implementing solutions for Cloud Systems (AWS/ Azure), Cloud storage (S3,EBS,EFS,Backup,DR etc.) Solid understanding of Cloud security model, Cloud Network security and securely deploying infrastructure in the cloud Knowledge of LEAN, ITIL Leverage expertise in AWS technologies and strategy to help lead, mentor, and grow junior and mid level career level team members: compute, data storage, data center, operating systems, database, networking, HPC, security tools/cyber, virtualization, automation, cloud and engineering applications for on premise and off premise deployments Should have hands-on experience and be able to contribute independently on digital cloud native solution deliverables towards Architecture, Design & Development implementation Understanding of Identity management and modern authentication and authorization protocols such as OIDC, OAuth 2.0 using Azure AD, AD B2C, AWS Directory service, AWS IAM, Key management service, Secrets Manager etc. Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure automation tools A team-focused mentality with the proven ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders Work to understand engineering, security, and technology requirements related to the infrastructure technology products and engineering applications to subsequently translate those into a clear, consistent strategic technology roadmap, build consensus to your vision and recommendation, influence leadership support to execute successfully and implement successfully.
