Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) Location Greater Sacramento, CA Job Type Full-Time Schedule Monday-Friday Setting FQHC / Community Health Outpatient Clinic Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to provide high-quality preventive and therapeutic oral healthcare services. The ideal candidate will deliver comprehensive dental hygiene care, provide patient education, and work collaboratively with dentists and clinical staff to promote excellent patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive dental hygiene services, including preventive care and periodontal therapies. Deliver direct patient care following established dental hygiene protocols and best practices. Perform expanded duties as permitted by California law and directed by the supervising dentist. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and preventive care. Maintain accurate and timely patient records in compliance with HIPAA requirements. Follow infection control, sterilization, and workplace safety procedures. Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, trays, and materials for patient care. Use dental software for scheduling and documentation and assist with digital radiography. Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and organizational standards. Provide compassionate, respectful, and professional patient care. Collaborate with dentists and clinic staff to support efficient clinical operations. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Successful completion of an accredited Dental Hygiene program. Active California Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license. Minimum 1-2 Years Of RDH Experience Preferred. Proficiency with computers, dental software, and digital radiography. Strong patient-facing and customer service skills. Knowledge of dental hygiene procedures, infection control, and sterilization protocols. Current BLS certification.
