Description

American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist for a hospital OR position requiring NBSTSA certification and travel surgical tech experience.

Details

• Short term acute care hospital setting with 418 staffed beds
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 7:00 to 19:00
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Weekend shifts required, including working weekends in lieu of weekday shifts as needed
• On-call required, including weekday call of 16 hours every 4 weeks and weekend call of 24 hours every 4 weeks
• No floating between units required
• Epic EMR used

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience required
• NBSTSA certification required
• BLS certification required
• ASATT certification preferred
• Prior travel experience required
• Compact state license required and must be in hand at submission (if applicable)
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Endovascular and hybrid room experience required
• Experience with Whipple procedures required
• First Assist and Trauma work setting experience preferred
• 2 supervisory references covering 1 year within the last 3 years required

Additional Information

• Scrubs provided for OR staff
• Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities near the contracted site
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• All RTO and specific scheduling requests must be submitted upfront at time of submission
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and cannot be within 50 miles of the facility
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50 mile radius
• Candidates must disclose any prior work history at a Providence facility as a permanent employee, traveler, or per-diem staff
• No parking fees at this facility
