RN Psychiatric

We seek a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse specializing in psychiatric care to provide skilled nursing, case management, and patient assessments within the Adult Psychiatric Unit (APU). The Registered Nurse will administer medications, develop treatment plans, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support individuals with psychiatric needs. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential, along with at least two years of relevant nursing experience. Responsibilities:

• Perform patient assessments and monitor psychiatric symptoms.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including psychiatrists, social workers, and therapists.
• Provide skilled nursing care tailored to psychiatric patients.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and progress.
• Participate in case management and discharge planning.
• Ensure patient safety and manage crisis situations appropriately.

• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of two years nursing experience, preferably in psychiatric or related settings.
• Clinical assessment, medication administration, and treatment planning skills.
• Strong interdisciplinary team collaboration abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.
• Driver's license, car insurance, and reliable automobile for field work if applicable.

• Experience in psychiatric nursing or mental health care.
• Additional certifications in psychiatric nursing or mental health specialties.
• Experience working in fast-paced acute care or inpatient psychiatric units.

• Work involves care of psychiatric patients requiring safety awareness and crisis management skills.
• Night shift work with potential on-call responsibilities.
• Ability to work in a high-stress, fast-paced environment.

• Night shift schedule within the Adult Psychiatric Unit.
• Shift patterns determined by unit staffing needs and may include weekends and holidays.
