ICU Registered Nurse (RN)Unit InformationUnit Type: ICU/CCU AdultNumber of Beds: 30Staff Size: 57Shift InformationDay Shift: 1 charge nurse, 1 RN per 2-3 patientsNight Shift: 1 charge nurse, 1 RN per 2-3 patientsThe unit employs nurse externs to assist the staff.Patient RatiosTypical patient ratios are 1 RN to 2 patients; however, under overflow conditions, this may increase.Equipment and TechnologyLenet bedsGE monitorsEMR: MeditechQualificationsRequired Skills:A minimum of 1 year of current acute care ICU experienceCertification in ACLS, BLS, and NIHPreferred Skills:Neuro certificationExperience in neuro and trauma careTypical ProceduresRapid intubationChest tube insertion and EVD managementCare for LVAD and CCRT patientsPersonality FitThe ideal candidate will be flexible and willing to adapt to changing assignments mid-shift to accommodate patient acuity.Additional InformationProspective candidates will find an engaging work environment with experienced staff, opportunities for growth, and the utilization of advanced medical technology.
