The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment within the community by performing daily housekeeping and laundry activities. This role supports the well-being of residents through adherence to infection control standards and environmental safety procedures, ensuring a high-quality living experience. Reporting to the Environmental Services Manager, the housekeeper frequently interacts with residents while managing routine cleaning and laundry tasks efficiently.

 

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with The Elite ALF at Naples philosophy, policies, and Environmental Services Department procedures.
• Perform daily cleaning of public areas, restrooms, offices, corridors, and communal spaces.
• Follow specific cleaning and laundry procedures as outlined in the Environmental Services Manual.
• Operate floor cleaning equipment safely and effectively for floor maintenance.
• Maintain infection control and standard precaution practices during housekeeping and laundry tasks.
• Dispose of personal protective equipment and bio-hazardous waste according to sanitation guidelines.
• Adhere to safety precautions when handling equipment and supplies, maintaining clutter-free work areas.
• Report broken or damaged equipment promptly to the supervisor.
• Distribute supplies and conduct inventory as directed.
• Assist in setting up and taking down meetings and special events as needed.

 

Required Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must not pose a threat to the health or safety of others within the community.
• Successful completion of a Level 2 background screening per Florida law and AHCA requirements.
• Commitment to attending mandated training and meetings.
• Adherence to Human Resources policies, confidentiality, and safe work practices.

 

Preferred Qualifications

• Entry-level experience in housekeeping.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
