This position plays an important role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our patients, families, visitors, and staff.If you have housekeeping or environmental services experience and are comfortable performing floor care, carpet cleaning, trash removal, and other environmental services duties, we would like to hear from you!What You’ll DoAs an Environmental Services Technician II, you will be responsible for maintaining hard-surface floors and carpeted areas throughout the facility, including:Strip, wax, buff, shampoo, extract, and bonnet floors and carpetsPerform floor maintenance in:Patient roomsOfficesBoardroomsCorridorsLobbies and entrancesStairwellsCafeteriasOther public and common areasRemove trash and dispose of waste appropriatelyCollect and transport regulated medical waste according to facility proceduresCollect and transport soiled linenPerform light maintenance and cleaning duties, such as cleaning inside light fixture covers and air-conditioning ventsOperate and move cleaning equipment and supplies safelyMaintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment throughout assigned areasPerform other duties as assigned by the supervisorScheduleFull-Time7:00 am - 3:30 pmEvery other WeekendWhat We’re Looking ForRequired:High School Diploma or GEDAt least 2 years of previous housekeeping or environmental services experienceAbility to safely perform the physical requirements of the positionAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAttention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environmentPhysical RequirementsThis is an active, hands-on position that requires the ability to:Lift and carry up to 50 poundsStand and walk for extended periodsLift, push, pull, and move equipment and suppliesDemonstrate manual dexterity and mobilityFrequently reach, stoop, bend, kneel, and crouchPerform repetitive physical tasks as neededWe OfferCompetitive payComprehensive, flexible benefits package for full-time employeesMedical and dental coverage beginning the first of the month following 30 days of employment403(b) retirement planLife insuranceJoin the Methodist Specialty Care Center TeamAt Methodist Specialty Care Center, Environmental Services plays an important part in supporting quality patient care.
