Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for an Emergency Department position on night shift, requiring an active IL RN license and at least one year of acute care experience.

Details

• Emergency Services department in a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule from 19:00-07:30
• 13-week assignment length
• No on-call requirements
• Float between ICU and Telemetry units as needed
• Requires skills in strip interpretation and titration of drips

Requirements

• Active and valid IL RN license
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum of one year experience as a staff RN in acute care hospital or critical care setting
• CCRN certification preferred
• DOB and SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Deliver safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel
• Communicate with physicians regarding changes in patient clinical condition, including hemodynamic monitoring and diagnostic results
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or treatment response
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality
• COVID vaccination and boosters preferred
• Local candidates accepted
