Compliance Support Specialist Salaries: $55,000.00 to $60,000.00 annually. Reports to: Chief Compliance Officer. Location: 14 Kennedy Street NW, Washington, DC 20011. Position Summary The Compliance Support Specialist is primarily responsible for providing administrative support to The Community Partnership for the Prevention of Homelessness’ (TCP) Compliance Team, which resides in the Office of the General Counsel. The specialist will support the ongoing compliance monitoring programs associated with the homeless services programs operating in the District of Columbia within TCP’s portfolio. Responsibilities Support the Compliance Team by working collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient and accurate collection, review, management, and maintenance of identified contract deliverables. Act as a liaison between TCP and subcontractors, ensuring effective communication and resolution of any compliance issues. Assist with the implementation of a comprehensive compliance program to ensure TCP’s compliance with its contracts and with federal and local laws. React quickly to identify and resolve missing deliverables with subcontractors, including housing providers, vendors, and/or internal teams. Initiate contact with Chief of Compliance to identify missing information or contractor(s) noncompliance with producing contract deliverables or any suspected fraud. Maintain up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge of current TCP contracts and required deliverables. Assist in developing and implementing up-to-date compliance policies, procedures, and practices. Provide timely and accurate feedback and relevant information to the Chief Compliance Officer regarding subcontractor(s) who are in non-compliance, including recommendations for improvements or corrective actions. Provide timely and accurate responses to inquiries made by TCP’s Executive Managers and the General Counsel to address matters related to breach, default, subpoenas, litigation, etc. Complete contract close‑out reviews. Collect, review, and manage various reports as provided for contract compliance. Prepare monthly reports regarding subcontractor compliance for review and edit by the Chief Compliance Officer. Manage provider contact records for internal and external use. Collaborate with the District of Columbia’s Department of Employment Services (DOES) on providers’ First Source Compliance efforts. Provide administrative support to the Chief Compliance Officer as well as the Compliance Team with subcontractor monitoring activities. Other special projects and related duties as assigned as deemed appropriate. Eligibility and Requirements Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, pre‑law, or a related field or relevant compliance certifications (preferred). Previous experience in compliance, law, or regulatory affairs, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus. Required Skills and Abilities Advanced computer literacy and expertise with software use in a typical office environment, including Smartsheet and Microsoft Office, and proficiency with data input. Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally to a wide range of audiences. High level of attention to detail. Outstanding organizational skills and ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks at the same time, with a full calendar of meetings. Ability to critically think and problem solve on both specific projects and larger systemic instances. Ability to conduct self‑directed work and/or function as part of a team. Working Conditions and Physical Requirements Exhibit manual dexterity to dial a telephone, operate a computer keyboard and handle paper documents. Ability to enter data and/or information into a computer. Ability to understand written and/or oral instructions. Ability to read a computer screen and printed materials with or without vision aids. Physical ability to bend, stoop, climb stairs and reach overhead. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. TCP has a mandatory COVID-19 Vaccination (and booster) Policy.
