Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) Job Code: 2026-JOPLINCLINIC-MEDICAL-359 Location: Joplin Clinic - Medical Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) ACCESS Family Care Location: Southwest Missouri Employment Type: Full-Time Join a Mission-Driven Team Making a Difference ACCESS Family Care is seeking a compassionate and skilled Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our integrated behavioral health team. We are dedicated to providing high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals and families across our communities. As a PMHNP, you will play a vital role in assessing, diagnosing, treating, and supporting patients with mental health conditions while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments. Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans. Diagnose and manage acute and chronic mental health conditions. Prescribe, adjust, and monitor psychiatric medications. Provide patient and family education regarding diagnosis and treatment options. Collaborate with primary care providers, therapists, case managers, and support staff. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the electronic health record. Participate in quality improvement and patient outcome initiatives. Provide crisis intervention and appropriate referrals when needed. Qualifications Required Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program. Current Missouri APRN licensure (or eligibility for Missouri licensure). Board Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). DEA registration or eligibility to obtain. Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Preferred Experience working in community mental health, integrated care, outpatient psychiatry, or rural healthcare settings. Bilingual skills are a plus. Experience treating patients across the lifespan.
