Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Seeking a full-time PMHNP to provide psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, treatment, medication management, and behavioral healthcare for pediatric and adult patients.

Key Responsibilities

The position offers the opportunity to work in an integrated, team-based healthcare environment serving patients across the lifespan, from pediatrics through geriatrics.

• Assess mental health needs of children and adults
• Diagnose and treat psychiatric and mental health conditions
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Provide comprehensive primary and behavioral healthcare
• Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications
• Provide medication-assisted treatment, including Suboxone
• Collaborate with behavioral health providers, care managers, and clinical support staff
• Maintain effective communication and contribute to a collaborative care environment
• Utilize electronic medical records for accurate and timely documentation

Requirements

• Current Maine PMHNP license required
• Active DEA registration
• Suboxone/MAT prescribing experience or waiver required
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
• Experience treating both children and adults required
• Proficiency with electronic medical records; AthenaOne experience is a plus
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, community healthcare setting
• Full vaccinations, including annual flu vaccination
