Job Title Certified Wound Care Team RN – RN – Enterostomal Location Baptist Medical Center South Job Type & Shift Regular – Full time | First Shift (United States of America) Responsibilities The RN – Enterostomal shall be responsible for the design, implementation, and evaluation of our Enterostomal and Wound Care Program with regard to current standards of care and practice, changing technology, and identified quality improvement activities. The maintenance of clinical proficiency is a must and direct patient care may be included in this role as needed. This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role. Education & Experience ADN with Bachelors degree required, BSN preferred. Minimum 1 year nursing experience required. License & Certification Active RN licensure required. BLS required. Enterostomal/Wound Care certification required. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to observe, assess, and record work, safety and infection control standards. Ability to work both independently and in a team environment. Ability to foster a cooperative work environment. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Ability to resolve customer complaints and concerns. Working Conditions / Physical Requirements Position requires sitting for 20% of the workday and mobility 80% of the workday. Occasional stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching. Frequent reaching, use of hands and repetitive action. Requires occasional lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds, pushing/pulling up to 150 pounds. Continuous need for speaking with clear diction and hearing sensitivity in conversation either by phone or in person. Continuous visual acuity at close and distant range. Inside protected from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. Minimal noise levels. Much exposure to computer work. Occasional exposure to risk of electrical shock.
