The Impact You'll Make in this Role As a Production Planning Analyst, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Leading cross functional projects across the business to effectively drive change in service, cost, and inventory.
• Developing and maintaining operating rhythms to ensure smooth supply chain operations, aligning supply with demand.
• Maintaining relevant planning master data and supporting new product introduction and phase-in phase out material business processes, and associated change management processes.
• Providing a high degree of planning analysis to support decision making.
• Publishing and presenting service and inventory metrics and results.
• Identifying and leading projects that improve supply chain speed and inventory investment. Review and reports on project progress with management.
• Working closely with the business unit to understand customer requirements and forecasts. Working closely with manufacturing to ensure alignment to business requirements by setting and maintaining sufficient inventory levels and lead times.
• Actively managing working and non-working inventories in assigned businesses to maintain compliance and achieve inventory investment targets.
• Utilizing Supply Chain tools and processes such as SAP, EWM, Power BI.
• Utilizing Lean Six Sigma methodologies to improve service, inventory turns, and non-working inventory
• Utilizing Supply Chain parameter management tools to optimize planning parameters (safety stock, lot size, EOQ, Loop & Supermarket, lead time)

Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
• Three (3) years of combined experience in supply chain, transportation, logistics, manufacturing, production, and/or customer service in a private, public, government or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• APICS (American Production and Inventory Control Society) CPIM certification is preferred
• Six Sigma Green Belt project experience and/or certification
• Proficient in Microsoft office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Experience with a Manufacturing Execution and/or Planning System (e.g. SAP, Proprietary, Oracle, JDA, etc)
• Experience in Lean Scheduling or Lean Manufacturing
• Experience with Microsoft VBA Macros, SQL, MS Cloud Apps (e.g. Teams, SharePoint, Power BI).

Work location: On-site Monroe, NC

Travel: May include up to 10% domestic/international
