Physical Therapist Outpatient Clinic

Physical Therapist with Baylor Scott & White you will have the opportunity to practice in our Outpatient Clinic, and work with a Physical Therapist Assistant (when available). We specialize in orthopedic physical therapy, sports injuries, neuro, joint problems, balance disorders, and work-related injuries and more. We are looking for a Physical Therapist who enjoys the flexibility of being PRN now with the option to grow into a full-time role if desired. Our Forney clinic is located north of US Hwy. 80 on FM 548.

Shift/Schedule: PRN Day Shift Monday - Friday (No Weekends)

Must have a current Physical Therapist license by the State of Texas.

All Outpatient - no acute care

Growth opportunity to full-time status when available

Job Summary

The Physical Therapist PRN cares for patients by evaluating, planning, implementing treatment, educating, and planning discharge to maximize function.

Essential Functions of the Role

• Evaluates, treats and monitors patient. Modifies therapy program and goals.
• Performs thorough and concise clinical documentation in a timely manner. Enters charges accurately. Knows about reimbursement related to practice setting.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, coworkers, and the medical care team. Provides education to patients, family, and staff.
• Supervises ancillary staff, students and volunteers.
• Advances clinical skills through ongoing education, literature review and implementation of evidence-based practice.
• Imparts knowledge to develop the clinical skills of colleagues. Adheres to organizational, national and state regulatory guidelines.
• Maintains awareness of system goals. Aligns personal goals and work activities to uphold or impact the system goals.

Qualifications

• EDUCATION - Masters' or Bachelors plus 2 years of work experience above the minimum qualification
• EXPERIENCE - Less than 1 Year of Experience
• CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION - Physical Therapist (PT) Basic Life Support (BLS): BLS or BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer.
