Overview: Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Position Details:

Nurses work 12-hour shifts 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am with rotational weekends. Unit Information: 7B- We offer an immense selection of experiences through our management of complex diagnoses and patient needs with many learning opportunities. This environment provides a strong foundation in nursing and clinical skills. The unit serves the medical surgical population by managing chronic and acute onset diseases. The types of patients we serve are those with multi-system management needs such as infectious disease, wound management, pneumonia, sepsis, COPD, diabetes and gastro-intestinal conditions, and post-surgical patients. We also coordinate management of patients needing surgical interventions, EGD, colonoscopy, outpatient infusion/chemo, and anti-coagulation therapies. Why Mercy?
