Automation Technician III - Days Location: Onsite – Casa Grande, AZ Competitive Compensation: $34.50 per hour. Shift: Night Shift, 3‑1‑3 Rotating Schedule (on Fri, Sat & Sun. Off Mon. On Tues, Wed & Thurs‑then reverse), 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM. Job overview We are seeking an Automation Maintenance Technician to join our Casa Grande team. In this role you will maintain and troubleshoot robotic equipment and control systems throughout the plant, including Fanuc robots and Allen Bradley PLCs. Responsibilities also include supporting plant‑wide controls such as PLCs, VFD calibrations, and safety systems. The ideal candidate is an experienced automation or robotics professional who is adaptable and eager to learn. Responsibilities Provide support for robotic troubleshooting and change‑overs. Provide troubleshooting of 24 V control systems. Provide operations support of PLC troubleshooting, instrumentation calibrations, and VFD troubleshooting as needed. Develop and maintain operator and management graphic displays for production information, faults, and related data. Maintain documentation standards when interacting with PLC control systems, electrical drawings, and SAP records. Work closely with the Production, Scheduling and Purchasing teams on all project‑related support responsibilities and activities. Assist Automation Engineering with control system projects. Attend technical seminars and training to learn and apply innovative products and processes. Adhere to safety and 5‑S plant culture. Perform other plant support as directed by the supervisor. Maintain training on all applicable SOPs, LOPs, policies and procedures. Operate power industrial equipment as required to accomplish responsibilities. Work in a heavy industrial environment, including exposure to heat, cold, dust, dirt, coolants, oils, noise, heights, and confined spaces. Effective communication skills for manufacturing production processes. Must be at least 18 years old. Preferred Qualifications Associate degree in Mechatronics, Electronics, Electrical Engineering or similar field. Previous experience in a high‑volume manufacturing environment. Natural ability for problem‑solving and continuous improvement in safety, quality and productivity. Experience with Fanuc robots and Allen Bradley PLCs is required. Experience with electrical troubleshooting is highly desired. Experience Automation Technician III – 7+ years’ experience. Physical Requirements Ability to perform essential duties including sitting, standing, bending, twisting, and lifting. Ability to work 8, 10 or 12‑hour shifts. Physical capability to lift up to 20–30 pounds occasionally. Work within the limits of any reasonable accommodation.
