Medical Director Of Anesthesiology

HCA Florida Trinity Hospital is currently seeking a full-time medical director of anesthesiology in Trinity, FL. This program is experiencing exciting growth and offers an outstanding culture. The expanded staffing model and newly added OB nighthawk APPs support work/life balance for our physicians. The facility medical director will work collaboratively with the operations team, hospital administration, and APP leadership to carry out the group's mission of maintaining a mutually respectful work environment, leading by example, and sharing a genuine love of providing excellent patient care. Ideal candidate will be highly skilled in communication, relationship building, and be able to represent the anesthesia department as a true partner within the organization. Responsibilities include assuring the highest standards of healthcare delivery and outcomes, employee satisfaction and retention, as well as monitoring efficiencies and quality metrics. Previous leadership experience required.

Staffing model of 8 anesthesiologists and 21 AAs covering 15 sites of service. Medical direction of CAAs and CRNAs. Diverse mix of cases including general surgery, ortho, endo, GYN, vascular, OB, and EP, spine, etc. No trauma. No cardiac.

Average work week is 40-50 hours plus in-house overnight call 1:8, 3p - 7a. Post call day off. Dedicated APP stays in-house and covers OB, Monday-Sunday, 8p-8a. 3 person team on a 3 week rotation.
