Office Assistant

The Akeena Group is a woman-owned architecture, and construction management firm with projects throughout Ventura County and beyond. We are seeking a dynamic Part-Time Office Assistant who can grow with our fast-paced, highly creative, and rapidly expanding company. This is an excellent opportunity for a responsible student, recent graduate, or entry-level professional interested in architecture, construction, design, marketing, or business operations. We are looking for someone with an optimistic, go-getter attitude who is eager to learn, take initiative, and become an important part of our team. Part-time position Flexible schedule based on applicant availability and company needs In-office position only; remote work is not available Entry-level opportunity with room for growth Compensation starts at $18/hour Duties and Responsibilities Provide administrative support to the Director of Operations Assist with job start-up and job closeout procedures Maintain and organize physical and digital project files Filing, scanning, and organizing project documentation Update and maintain spreadsheets and tracking logs Data entry and clerical work Order office supplies, materials, and product samples Handle daily office duties and checklists Assist with miscellaneous projects and errands as needed Perform minor office upkeep Help maintain streamlined office systems and procedures Assist with social media content ideas, filming, editing, and posting Support marketing and community outreach initiatives Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong organizational and time management skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Highly detail-oriented and thorough Positive, professional attitude and appearance Honest, trustworthy, and dependable Ability to handle multiple instructions and shifting priorities Self-motivated with the ability to work independently Comfortable learning new software and systems Proficient in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office software Familiarity with social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Tik Tok, and LinkedIn Interest in architecture, construction, design, marketing, or small business operations is preferred About The Akeena Group We are proud to have been recognized as one of the Pacific Coast Business Times' 2026 Best Places to Work, a reflection of our commitment to fostering a positive, collaborative, and rewarding workplace where our team members can thrive both personally and professionally.
