Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care for neuro patients in the PCU/step-down setting, including assessment and ongoing monitoring
- Perform and document NIHSS assessments and update patient status in the CV packet as required
- Administer medications and treatments, monitor responses, and manage potential adverse effects
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care, discharge planning, and patient education
- Maintain accurate charting in EPIC EMR, including timely updates to vital signs, neuro status, and care plans
- Respond rapidly to clinical changes, escalate concerns to the physician, and implement changes per protocol
- Ensure patient safety, fall prevention, infection control, and adherence to unit standards and policies

Requirements
- Active RN license (state-specific or multi-state as required)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience in PCU/neuro or related neuro/step-down setting
- Neuro experience required; NIHSS in CV packet and documentation strongly preferred
- ACLS certification (required or as specified by protocol)
- EPIC electronic medical record experience
- Ability to work night shifts and the defined schedule; travel RN scope and readiness for inpatient neuro/step-down care
