License Plate Technician (On-Site)

License Plate Technician

The License Plate Technician is a hands-on technical role responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of all hardware used in license plate and vehicle registration production, inspection, and fulfillment operations. This includes license plate and registration printers, blanking lines, mail insert equipment, and related production machinery across multiple state facilities.

In this role, you will serve as the primary technical resource for production hardware, diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical, and network-related issues to minimize downtime and keep fulfillment operations running. You will also serve as a second-level escalation point for the Customer Care Department, providing direct customer-facing technical support when issues exceed standard support capacity.

Success in this role requires strong mechanical aptitude, hands-on troubleshooting experience, and the ability to work independently in varied environments including manufacturing facilities and correctional institutions. • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical customers and staff
• Ability to work effectively with all levels of staff and in varying environments
• Self-motivated and organized, with the ability to manage multiple work items with minimal supervision
