Software Engineer, Agent - Healthcare

Salary: $211,000 - 251,000 per year Requirements:

• Bonus experience includes healthcare technology, health IT, or working with healthcare organizations.
• Familiarity with healthcare systems such as major EHR ecosystems, X12 EDI transactions, clearinghouse workflows, scheduling and patient access tools, practice management, and contact center platforms is a plus.
• Understanding of healthcare compliance requirements, including HIPAA, PHI handling, and healthcare data privacy, is preferred.
• Experience building or deploying AI and LLM systems in production is an advantage.
• Experience as a founder or founding engineer is considered a plus.
• Familiarity with agent tooling, evaluation frameworks, RAG pipelines, and prompt engineering is helpful.
• Prior experience with React, TypeScript, and/or Go is a plus.
• Previous roles involving customer interaction or technical project leadership with external stakeholders are valued.

• We will design and deliver production-grade AI agents for healthcare, creating reliable and empathetic experiences for sensitive patient and member interactions.
• We will build and ship agents that help people understand coverage, find providers, schedule appointments, navigate billing, and similar tasks while maintaining strict HIPAA compliance.
• We will own the full Agent Development Life Cycle, from pilot through deployment and ongoing refinement.
• We will build, tune, and evolve AI agents in production environments serving healthcare payers, providers, and platforms.
• We will work directly with healthcare executives and technical teams to understand their challenges and design solutions that reduce administrative burden and improve operations at scale.
• We will deepen our understanding of healthcare workflows, including EHR and patient access integrations, payer and provider operations, and healthcare interoperability standards.
• We will learn the nuances of benefits and eligibility, claims and billing, scheduling and intake, and translate that knowledge into trustworthy AI experiences.
• We will surface unmet customer needs, prototype new capabilities, and partner with research, product, and platform teams to shape the future of healthcare AI agent development.
