Maintenance Technician 1st Shift

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance on industrial machinery according to established schedules to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electro-mechanical issues on production equipment and facility systems.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics to install, repair, and modify machinery and related systems.
  • Install new machines and equipment, including setting up gearboxes, wiring, and running conduit for power and control systems.
  • Work with 480V / 3-phase electrical systems to perform safe and effective maintenance and repairs.
  • Conduct general facility maintenance to ensure a clean, safe, and efficient manufacturing environment.
  • Support wiring, fabrication, and basic welding tasks as needed for equipment repair and modification.
  • Assist with robotics, PLC controls, and PLC troubleshooting to maintain automated equipment.
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns promptly, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage to support accurate records and continuous improvement.
  • Follow all safety procedures, use required personal protective equipment, and contribute to a culture of safe work practices.

Essential Skills

  • 13 years of experience as an industrial maintenance technician or in a similar maintenance role.
  • Hands-on experience with hydraulics, including troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic systems.
  • Hands-on experience with pneumatics, including troubleshooting and repairing pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics.
  • Experience planning and performing preventive maintenance, including scheduling and execution.
  • Electro-mechanical troubleshooting skills for complex industrial machinery.
  • Experience working with gearboxes, including inspection, repair, and replacement.
  • Experience with electrical wiring and running conduit in an industrial setting.
  • Ability to work safely with 480V / 3-phase electrical systems.

The role is based in a standard manufacturing facility that serves as a central hub for production. The environment is non-climate controlled, so temperatures can vary with the seasons. The facility can be loud, and certain tasks require the use of earplugs and appropriate personal protective equipment. Work is performed on 1st shift with a normal schedule of 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with overtime schedules of 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Saturdays as needed. The setting is hands-on, fast-paced, and focused on industrial machinery and equipment, providing exposure to a wide range of technologies and maintenance challenges.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Delaware, OH. The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $31.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
