Overview Gynecologic Oncology Faculty — The Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at MetroHealth Medical Center, Cleveland, Ohio is seeking an additional faculty member for the Division of Gynecologic Oncology. The position involves clinical practice, teaching, and research. Academic rank within the Department of Reproductive Biology at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience. Responsibilities Provide clinical care as part of the Gynecologic Oncology service, including minimally invasive surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy as applicable. Participate in the education of MetroHealth Ob/Gyn residents and Case Western Reserve University medical students. Engage in research activities with opportunities for basic, translational, and/or clinical research; collaborate with MetroHealth Cancer Center’s CancerBiology program, Population Health Research Institute, and Case Comprehensive Cancer Center. Pursue opportunities for research funding and collaboration, including involvement with networks such as Eunice Kennedy Shriver NICHD-MFMU and NuMoM2b-HSS2; participate in Gynecologic Oncology Group and industry-sponsored trials. Leverage the Case Western Reserve University CTSA-Clinical Research Unit and Center for Reproductive Health at MetroHealth for clinical and bench research support. Qualifications Board Certified in Gynecologic Oncology or a candidate for Certification in Gynecologic Oncology. Eligible for licensure in the state of Ohio. Academic appointment at an appropriate level within the Department of Reproductive Biology at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Demonstrated interpersonal and teaching skills. Dedicated research time and support aligned with the applicant’s research experience and interests. About the Program and Environment MetroHealth’s Gynecologic Oncology service offers a broad range of procedures and is committed to education of trainees and collaboration with Case Western Reserve University. The department has a long history of funded research and active involvement in national and industry-sponsored trials. Opportunities for basic and translational research and collaborations are available within the MetroHealth Cancer Center and related institutes.
