Registered Nurse (RN) - Pediatrics
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Pediatrics team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pediatric care and a commitment to providing high-quality nursing support to children and their families.
Shift Details
- Day Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
- Schedule: 3x12-Hour Shifts
- Holiday Requirement: Travel nurses are expected to work at least every other holiday.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients.
- Manage and care for patients with tracheostomies, ventilators, and central lines.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, documenting changes and communicating with the appropriate staff.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Educate patients and families about care processes and health management.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 12 months of permanent nursing experience in pediatrics.
- Current, valid Ohio nursing license or compact state license required.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation, with acceptable scores on both assessments required.
