Retail Sales Associate - Golf Clubs

Overview Position Summary: As a Hard Goods Associate at PGA TOUR Superstore, you will engage customers in our Hard Goods areas—including Simulators, Putting Green, Club Repair, and Accessories—to drive sales and enhance the customer experience. You will support front‑end operations such as returns, exchanges, promotions, and ensure merchandise is presented at a premium stock and visual level. Key Responsibilities Provide world‑class service, building lasting relationships with every customer. Engage customers throughout the Hard Goods areas. Maintain knowledge of front‑end operations including returns, exchanges, gift cards, lesson redemptions, loyalty program awards, discounts, promotions, and coupons. Ensure merchandise presence at a premium stock level and maintain clean, professional presentation. Demonstrate in‑depth product knowledge of golf clubs and explain features, benefits, and differences. Execute proper customer fittings in accordance with PGA TOUR Superstore fitting techniques. Support ethical conduct, safety, and compliance across all departments. Assist customers with club fitting—selecting shaft, grip, and specifications for optimal performance. Stay up to date on merchandising promotions and marketing events, using The Links bulletins. Promote products and services, educating customers, and provide feedback to the Sales & Service Manager. Qualifications and Skills Strong listening and interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written. Basic computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to organize multiple priorities to meet deadlines and objectives. High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred retail sales or customer service experience. Working Conditions and Physical Demands Must be able to stand for extended periods, climb ladders, move throughout the store, and lift a 30lb. box overhead. Schedule Flexible availability required, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Business Acumen and Accountability Ability to quickly learn business acumen with appropriate training; demonstrate strong self‑accountability and proactive drive for results.
