Parts Associate

Summary

Purchases, inventories, and issues spare parts for motor vehicles or industrial equipment by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

* Balance parts invoices daily

* Balance monthly statements and submit for payment

* Recharge batteries

* File all invoices

* Enter and check all GPS units

* Verify sblcs payments

* Receive all parts

* Bill all stock parts and quick checks

* Build report with parts vendors, salvage yards, and techs.

* Clean parts over (battery charging, shilon, used tires, etc).

* Research available warranties on parts

* Research and locate most cost efficient price on all necessary parts for car

* Order and inventory all stock parts

* Invoice parts used to correct tickets

* Remove any parts that are being returned

* Meet with vendors to arrange pricing

* File all parts copies of tickets

* Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.'

Language Skills

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Outlook; AutoStar Database software; Microsoft Excel; Microsoft Word and Internet software.
